With this simple camping hack and instructional video, you can make a simple, durable, ultralight DIY wind screen for camping stoves. It works with alcohol, white gas, wood, propane and butane stoves and packs in your cookset.

The wind screen takes less than 15 minutes to make and costs about $1.00. It uses a standard foil oven liner sheet, disposable cookie sheet or other reasonably large, reasonably thick and flexible aluminium sheet plus some strong yet flexible wire to hold the screen's form.
