Sometimes, you come across people who say they can do things, but will probably do a poor job at it. For example, let's look at plumbing. Plumbing, or any trade is like medicine. In only one way of course, and that is every practitioner has their own specialty. Some are heart surgeons, some a GP's, some a cardiac surgeons, and some are just academically trained. 

Plumbing is the same in that alot of plumbers are "GP's" or maintenance plumbers and can do a lot of different jobs well, but then there's specialist plumbers. Like us. We are plumbers but we're specialist in tank, filtration, stormwater and cold water supply. We could fix your blocked sewer, but the reality is, it just isn't us that's right for the job. 

Arun from Wentworthville had been convinced by another plumber that they could fix the original problem with his tank system. Let's have a look at the problems.
1. The original submersible pump died
2. A new pump was installed, but who ever did this may have installed a watermelon or a ski jacket. The type of pump that was installed (albeit substandard) was not correct. It had a cast iron bowl. These are no where near suitable or even capable for a mains to rain change over system. 
3. The suction pipe between the tank and the pump was undersized, and the wrong material. Plus it wasn't even UV rated. 
4. Did anyone bother to look into the tank to see what caused the first pump to die? The client doesn't know, but these so called "specialists" should. They didn't.
