Histamine is designed to help with an inflammatory response your body produces to open up blood vessles to increase blood flow to alleviate itching. But if you're chronically inflammed or swollen, while many think histamine in itself is the root cause to inflammation, an intolerance can be a big symptom for SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth). This also means that if you treat your SIBO, histamine's inflammatory response may be quenched.
Dr. Justin Marchegiani shares briefly about symptoms like headaches, flushing in the face, nausea, hives, fatigue, brain fog, low-grade swelling, sleep issues, etc. He also looks at medications that can be taken to lessen symptoms and the potential downside of these meds. This can then snowball into a weakened immune system, other bacteria getting into the bloodstream and travelling up to the brain, essentially it becomes a domino effect. Dr. J is in the house with this first step to get you on your way to healing.
