I made a review video of the Garmin Dash Cam 67W a few weeks ago. There were a lot (like, a TON!) of great comments and discussion about how you should turn the audio recording on if your dash cam and your local laws allow it. This was a topic because in the video I stated that I did not recognize a good reason why you would want to record the audio inside a vehicle.
The comments did make me pause and think about this. I thought about ways that I could enable the audio recording without having hours and hours of 'private' conversations being stored on a micro SD card. So I decided to out a smaller micro SD card in my dash cam. I now have a 32GB card installed which is half the size of what I had before. This means that the video and audio recordings are being deleted and re-recorded over every five days or so, which feels good to me.
If yuo make any of the recordings to save them, or if the dash cam detects an incident such as. collision, then it will mark them as protected and will not record over them.
