Join me for this quick 20 min flow that focuses on our core strength 🔥
We will fire up our abdominals, obliques, TVA (deep core muscles) as well as glutes, hip flexors and back muscles. So, yes, core is more than our abs! It is our whole midsection, the centre of our body.
Strong core improves our posture, stabilises and supports our body in all daily activities. In rock climbing, our core activates every time we pull, dyno, high step or do rock overs. Strong core provides stability, helps to bring our legs back on the wall on overhanging terrain and allows to keep our body closer to the vertical wall.
