The Rotor Riot Solder Free FPV Kit is a very interesting take on building your own FPV kwad. It is targeted at novice builders and claims allow just about anyone to build their own FPV quadcopter. But how hard is it to actually build? And once built, how does it fly?
While I do document my building process and the pitfalls that I experienced, this is not intended to be a tutorial on how to build a FPV quadcopter. I followed the video that Drew Camden (Le Drib) made for the Rotor Riot Youtube channel and recommend that you do the same. Here's the link to that video.

However, before you buy this FPV kwad, you might benefit from watching this video first. In this video I take you through the build itself and show you some of the mistakes that I made so that you can avoid them. I'm a novice FPV drone builder and so this was my chance to actually build a kwad from start to finish. But I did make some mistakes along the way and this video will help you avoid them.
I also take my maiden flight with a 6S LiPo battery as well as a 4S LiPo battery to see how it flies.
This video is not sponsored by Rotor Riot and I paid for this kit myself.
