Born on 14 December 1979 in Chester, the former English footballer and striker has made to the list of the world's best soccer masters with continuous success for clubs like Liverpool, Real Madrid, Newcastle United, Manchester United and Stoke City along with the England national team. Michael Owen was born and brought up in an ideal environment that every aspiring footballer dreams of, Chester. Son of legendary footballer, Terry Owen, he had sufficient time and amenities to build a successful career in this game, thanks to the beautiful city he lived and love for soccer. Michael's club career started at a tender age of 12, when he was just in his secondary school. His talent and passion for the game made him eligible to sign a contract with a Liverpool. It is said that Steve Heighway, the Liverpool youth development officer, wrote a letter to Michael Owen personally that stated, “Heighway wrote us a smashing letter and it was love at first sight for Michael, he was impressed from day one."" When Owen turned 14, he attended the FA's School of Excellence at Lilleshall in Shropshire after the club insisted him and soon saw himself playing for England teams from under-15 upwards. This was the period when the soccer star introduced the world to an exceptional range of record-breaking goals in just 20 games for England's u-15s and u-16s. He was an overall in both his academics and on field, even though he decided to choose his future as a professional football.
Talking about Michael Owen's list of awards in his entire career with Liverpool, Real Madrid, Newcastle United, Manchester United and Stoke City, there's just no end! He has been a part of all the respected matches and leagues including UEFA Cup, FA Cup, Premier Leagues, 1998 FIFA World Cup, UEFA Euro 2000, 2002 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2004. He has also been honoured with several awards and titles including 100 Players Who Shook The Kop and Pelé's FIFA 100 list of the world's greatest living players. In addition to these, Owen was the youngest player and goalscorer of England to play for the senior England team in 1998 along with being England's eleventh most-capped player scoring a national record before Wayne Rooney of 26 competitive goals.
