☭ The Armed Forces of the USSR is a military organization of the Soviet state designed to protect the socialist gains of the Soviet people, freedom and independence of the Soviet Union. Together with the armed forces of other socialist countries, they ensure the security of the entire socialist commonwealth from the encroachments of aggressors.
