The EU Cyber Forum panel session on preventing conflicts in cyberspace: navigating a multiconceptual world was chaired by Patryk Pawlak, Brussels executive officer of the EU Institute for Security Studies. Panelists in order of appearance were Johanna Weaver, Special Adviser to Australia’s Ambassador for Cyber Affairs and Critical Technologies, Government of Australia; Guilherme Patriota, Chair of the UN Group of Governmental Experts, Brazil; Joanneke Balfoort, Director, Security and Defence Policy, EEAS; Latha Reddy, Co-Chair of the Global Commission on the Stability of Cyberspace.
The EU Cyber Forum is a platform for promoting the European Union’s global engagement on cyber and digital issues. It provides an opportunity for the European Union to showcase its efforts and exchange good practices with other participating countries. Organised in cooperation with the European External Action Service, the European Commission, the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity – ENISA, and the European Cybercrime Centre at Europol, the 2020 edition brought together over 600 individuals representing around 100 countries and different stakeholder communities.
