According to reports, Apple is developing a new iteration of the reasonably priced Apple Watch SE that may have a major redesign. Recent sources suggest that rather from the present aluminum shell, the next generation Apple Watch SE may have a plastic construction.
At the moment, the Apple Watch SE shares its aluminum construction with the more expensive Apple Watch models. Apple redesigned the Watch SE in 2022, replacing the ceramic back cover with a new "nylon composite" material. The next edition could even more stray from its aluminum beginnings by using a hard plastic casing.
