Has anyone told you to run slower? Maybe your training plan has some Z2 running in, or maybe your coach wants you to try low heart rate running, or maybe you are new to running and looking to build up your distance and everyone says "go slower to get further".
This can be really frustrating because sometimes it feels like you are going at walking speed. But are you?
In this video, I will do a fairly unscientific test where I power walk for one kilometre and then slow run for one kilometre and see what the difference is. I will walk at top speed and compare that to a low heart rate run where I keep my heart rate around 150 (well inside my zone 2).
