벨기에 정부, 근무 유연성 확대…"주4일도 가능"

Let's start off in Belgium,... where the federal government there has approved a four-day work week for employees.
That's right. Belgian employees will now be able to work full-time,... four days per week.
The Belgian federal government unveiled on Tuesday,... a new labor agreement aimed at bringing flexibility to the rigid labor market.
The move is optional,... which means,... employees who make the request,... will be able to work up to ten hours per day instead of the maximum eight.
This would allow staff to work one day less per week for the same pay.
Belgians will also be allowed to choose to work more during one week and less the following one,... allowing for people to better manage their work-life.
The latest agreement also introduces the right to disconnect after normal working hours for companies with more than 20 employees,... meaning no work-related emails outside of work hours.
