Ekphrasis, Art on Art by Phyllis E. Roker
Phyllis E. Roker is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker, educator, poet, writer, and artist. She draws her viewers into the creative processes of various artists in her show, Artistic View, which airs on Brooklyn Free Speech TV. Her recent documentary titled Ekphrasis, Art On Art, focuses on three artists of different artistic genres expressing their personal views through their unique interpretations.
The BRIC Documentary Intensive is a two-time, New York Emmy-nominated program that guides students through all the stages of creating a documentary.
Brooklyn Free Speech is a New York Emmy-WINNING community television network that amplifies and honors alternative voices in media. The initiative seeks to empower Brooklynites with media dreams to share their brilliance, talent, and creativity with the world.

Media Education
Through our media education program we teach close to 2,500 students annually giving them access to free and low-cost media education courses so that they can further their television and film dreams.

Media Share, Serving Nonprofits
Media Share is a New York Emmy nominated, in-kind grant program for Brooklyn-based or Brooklyn-affiliated nonprofit organizations to learn how to create and use media.
