Olive Watson was alive for most of the 20th century. Born January 4th, 1909 Olive was only 3 years old when the Titanic sank. She was 5 years old when World War I started. By the time she was 30 years old World War II had begun. She was 46 years when the Vietnam War began and was 54 when John F. Kennedy was assassinated. Olive was 92 when the twin towers were attacked on 9/11. So as you can imagine she has seen a lot. At the recording of this interview Olive had just turned 104 years old. She still lived in her own home with her husband and was very sharp and articulate. I hope you enjoy this short clip taken from her longer interview.
