Oasis
Location: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Venue: Metropolitan
Date: 20th March 1998

Before two final shows in Mexico, Oasis hit Brazil with one show in Rio de Janeiro and one in Sao Paulo. This is a short recording broadcast of the show in the radio but the quality of the rip is pretty ropey. I’ve tried some EQ’ing to lift the low end of the mix to help dampen the harshness of the high end. The performance from what we have sums up a similar story for the end of the tour. Liam’s voice is not getting any better and he is doing nothing to prevent it’s downfall, cracking while shouting out “kicking out a STORM” in Be Here Now. The rest of the band are in usual shape for the time, but Noel plays very well on the opening songs. There is apparently a version of D’You Know What I Mean floating around apparently from this gig, but i’ve not found it yet. A funny moment does come before Live Forever, when Noel tries to power balance himself over Liam by introducing the song. Alan doesn’t really even stop to let this transition happen either so it just comes off as an awkward moment.
