Our students were able to see and surround the largest building in Europe and an emblem of the city of Bucharest, the Romanian Parliament. As the seat of the country's popular sovereignty, the building was the former headquarters of the Romanian Communist Party and was repurposed after 1989. Our students have understood and appreciated the importance of democratic institutions and European cooperation.
