The EU is proud of the contribution of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) to peace and security. However, recently, the treaty has come under strain. Distrust among powers has slowed progress on disarmament. We want to strengthen its role as the cornerstone of the global nuclear non-proliferation architecture.
