The Jam was formed at Sheerwater Secondary School in Woking in 1972 and consisted of Paul Weller, Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler. Their influences include The Who, The Kinks, Small Faces, The Beatles, and Billy J Kramer & the Dakotas. In turn, they adopted and adapted the high energy of Punk and influenced the whole music scene in the UK and, indeed the world for a generation.
This is the story of my encounters with Paul Weller, The Jam, Style Council, Bruce Foxton and more…
