Raga Basant Mukhari is a sweet melodious morning raga.The raga is a combination of Bhairav (S r G M P d) in Poorvang and Bhairavi in Uttarang (M P d N S'). Chandrashekharji has rendered two bandishes, the first one in a rare taal called Pancham-savari characterised by 15 beats and the second in drut teentaal.
Accompanying him on the sitar are Dr. Sujata Bhat and Vijay Jaganathan and Shantanu Shuklaji on the tabla.
