I started pretending I was Harriet the Spy when I was 7, running around my neighborhood, climbing trees, and jotting down what I saw in small notebooks. And once I got my first composition notebook, I kept at this habit my entire life. Today I'm sharing what it's done for me, how my writing process has changed, and why it's my greatest treasure.
