Symbolism of the dragonfly:
Dragonflies are symbolic of change and transformation. They represent hope, joy, and new beginnings. Characterized by their large, multi-faceted eyes, dragonflies have elongated bodies with two pairs of transparent wings and six legs. They are considered expert fliers and skilled hunters. They love warm climates and are often found near water. When mating, they form the shape of a heart. They can reach flight speeds of up to 50 miles per hour. Fun fact: dragonflies can fly backwards!
