In this video I am doing a blind comparison between two of the most popular 35mm options for the Leica M system: the infamous Leica Summicron ASPH 35mm F2.0 and the budget friendly Voigtländer Nokton 35mm F1.4. While the Nokton costs around 600$, the Leica comes with a proud price tag of around 2600$ (sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on your luck). Of course the question lays close: Is the Leica glass actually worth the investment of 2000$ more? Let's try to answer this question in this video and also evaluate, which of these two lenses I will keep in the end.
Time Stamps:
00 - introduction
56 - street photography blind test
35 - blind test lens reveal
13 - general comparison
57 - image quality comparison
10 - sponsoring (portraitmode.io)
15 - Is it possible to spot the Leica lens?
53 - Which one will I keep?
