Sometimes knitters need to alternate skeins on every round—whether while striping, creating a fade, or when using multiple skeins of hand-dyed yarn.

You don’t need to cut the yarn at every color change in order to maintain your tension!!!

I share with you my technique for alternating skeins every round in a way that maintains the proper tension and allows you to carry the non-working yarn up the wrong side of the fabric.

I’ll share two ways—first in standard stockinette, and then with a slipped stitch at the beginning of round.
