Today we will show you how to make Sailor Jerry’s Spiced Rum Wings on the Gourmet Guru Kamado Grill. This recipe is perfect for your friends who don’t like a lot of heat with their chicken wings. The rum-based wing sauce is sweet with spice in the background.
Ingredients
• 3 lb bone-in chicken wings
• Gator Hammock Gator Sprinkle (or your favorite chicken seasoning) to taste. More info here: [ Ссылка ]
• ½ Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
• 1 Cup brown sugar
• ½ Cup Molasses
• ½ Cup Sailor Jerry’s Spiced Rum
• 2 tablespoons of your favorite hot sauce (more if you want spicy).
Recipe Instructions
1. Heat the Gourmet Guru Grill to 300-350 degrees. The cook is direct. If you are using a gas grill, then you may want to cook indirect (because the fire is closer to the grill grates).
2. Add some grape wood or your favorite smoking wood.
3. Add the chicken wings to the grill and turn in approximately 20 minutes.
4. While the wings are cooking (after 20 minutes) start the wing sauce by adding the apple cider vinegar to a pot over medium heat.
5. Stir in the molasses.
6. Stir in the brown sugar.
7. Stir in the rum and be careful. It is extremely flammable.
8. Bring the sauce to a simmer. Add the hot sauce and then cook until the sauce reduces by about one half.
9. When the wings are done, remove from the grill and toss in the rum sauce.
10. Serve!
