Around mid-autumn festival every year the Hong Kong water miraculously clears up. We timed our Sail & Dive September trip just right to coincide with low wind and shallow tides. We were able to dive some of the best sites in Hong Kong, deeper than usually possible.
Victor Rock and One Foot Rock are submerged seamounts that most of the time experience strong currents which are the basis for vast soft coral gardens and the densest fish schools. The proximity around the rocks also mean protection when bottom trawling was still practiced.
We also dove The Arch, a cave dive site discovered by the local BSAC chapter. It can only be dived in calm and clear waters.
