Without a doubt, one of the most desirable watches of the last five years has been the Vacheron Constantin Everest Overseas. Released in truly limited fashion, this titanium take on Vacheron’s signature sports watch — available with either a chronograph or dual time function — caught the attention of collectors. But, while this limited edition was certainly novel, it was not entirely out of left field. In fact, during the era of the 2nd generation Overseas, Vacheron released a trio of watches that stood out from their counterparts and laid the foundation for the Everest Overseas that would follow.

We’re talking, of course, about the “Deep Stream.” In many ways a stock 2nd generation Overseas, the Deep Stream sets itself apart with a sunray grey dial and dark titanium bezel. While the watch sacrificed a small portion of its dressy nature in exchange for a whole heap of aggressive and sporty character, this is truly the Overseas ready for anything and everything.
