Satoru Nakajima made one of his best races in F1 during the 1988 Japanese Grand Prix. He qualified in 6th place on the grid, matching his three-times World Champion teammate Nelson Piquet up to the thousands of a second.
Unfortunately, his car stalled at the start of the race, dropping him down the order and ended up in 20th place by the end of Lap 1.
However, he'd recover from this and charge to recover the lost places making some good overtakes in the process.
He'd finish the race in 7th place, just outside the points.
