Diverting organic waste from landfill is great, but then what do we do with it, and how do we manage it appropriately. The Recycling Council of Alberta has produced an excellent guide encouraging us to recycle our nutrients and organic matter on the farm, where they can be used to grow nutritious food. Its a biocircular economy that is good for all of us, our farmers, our communities and our planet.
