I hope that my story can help you understand the experiences of prisoners and the justice system a little better.
Today I am giving you the full story of what led up to me going to prison. I will be telling you details that I didnt tell when i done interviews on Freshout. The Freshout channel and crew are a great crew, huge respect to them and all that they do for the prison environment.
When i first got arrested I was charged with first degree murder a. capital felony in florida which if you get convicted of this charge you could potentially be put to death.
The crazy part about my entire case is that when I was sentenced to prison time the judge said to me before he sentenced me that it was clear that what happened was an accident and if i would have went to trial no criminal just would found me guilty.
What that means is the judge on my case just said that I was actually innocent yet he sentenced me to 10 years to think about what happened.
I tell you this because although I accept my responsibility and my actions we truly have a broken judicial system that is run off people's feelings and emotions rather than cold hard facts about each case.
Going to prison for you first time is a crazy and even scary experience because no matter how big or tough a person may be the unknown is just that Unknown.
