This video describes my process of how to generate custom terrain for Minecraft using Blender, in part two I describe a slightly more advanced method than part one, in this method, I show you the basics of using nodes to create custom heightmaps that are very customizable.
P.S. Forgot to mention in the video but you can actually view your heightmap in Blender if you hook up your heightmap to the displacement using a bump node, it does not give you a very good preview however good enough to give you an idea.
also don't forget to edit the terrain either in world painter or in-game
