While doing scoliosis specific exercise, like the Schroth Method, it is important to work on what is called proprioception, or body awareness. We do this a few different ways at Align Therapy in Lehi Utah.
While holding posture correction, we try to challenge the ability to hold that correction. This can be done with a variety of things. Foam, Bosu Ball, Dyna Disc, a ball, and even just standing on one foot can improve your body awareness.
