One correction I want to make is that in the final schematic, I accidentally labeled the cathode resistor on the output tube as a 470K, it should be just 470 ohms. Anyway, remember that experiment that I did with making a valve amplifier? Well now I've improved on that, biased the output tube much better, added an input stage and it seems to work well.
It's quite a long video so I'm gonna do an "Ain't big, ain't clever" and put in some time code thingies in case you don't want to watch the whole video:
00:00 Start
00:14 The improved output stage circuit
02:22 Valve Theory 101
07:00 Measuring voltages of output stage
09:22 Preamp stage parts
11:10 First powerup of preamp
14:30 Second powerup of preamp
18:31 Preamp sound test
19:41 Completed amplifier "prototype"
22:41 Schematic of amplifier
23:20 End with my cover of DNK-1 playing though the preamp.
I might not be able to reply to comments anymore since they've f***ed up things even further now!
Sorry it took a little while, my computer kept crashing because of a dying external hard drive holding all 14GB of raw footage, video editing was hard but not impossible, fortunately I didn't loose anything.
