Check out our #ClipWithATip video with 5 Tips for a Safe 4th of July.
1️⃣. See something, say something: The new norm is continuous vigilance. That’s why we always post “Stay Alert & Be Safe!” As security professionals, #CredibleSecurity is alert but the public plays a critical role as well. There are currently no credible threats but we should never be complacent. That’s why this Fourth of July, we’re urging everyone to be aware of their surroundings, report questionable behavior & notify law enforcement immediately if you witness any suspicious activity.
2️⃣. Don’t drink & drive: The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety tells us, Fourth of July is the worst day of the year for fatal car crashes. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Association, 40 percent of all highway deaths were caused by drunk driving over the Fourth of July time period. Paying attention to other drivers when on the road can save your life as well, so stay alert.
3️⃣. Choose a public location: Having someone else ignite the fireworks is not only cheaper way but also a safer way. Find a public location to view the show, sit back & relax.
4️⃣. Adult supervision: Never allow children to play with or ignite fireworks. Sparklers alone account for more than 25% of emergency room visits for firework related injuries.
5️⃣. Fire safety: Always keep a bucket of water, a running garden hose or fire extinguisher close by just in case of a firework malfunction or fire.
Use common sense & always remember to Stay Alert & Be Safe! Have a Happy & Safe Fourth of July. #SABS #CssOne #CredibleSecurity #ClipWithATip #July4th #RedWhiteAndBlue
