Calls for the introduction of state police have continued to generate more arguments from Nigerians, especially those in leadership positions. In the North West, governor Abdul-fattah Ahmed of Kwara state has ruled out the idea of establishing a state police system. He believes that what the country needs is restructuring and proper funding of the police force.
