The cost of living crisis is forcing people to rethink their trips into town – and when they go out they want a good night guaranteed.
“It is a difficult period for all of us, and when people come out now they’re expecting more,” says Phillip Gillespie, head of marketing for Level Nightclub owners, JSM.
“There’s no change in the numbers of people heading into Liverpool, but they’re wanting a bigger experience; with less money to spare they want to be sure when they do go out they’re going to have a great time.”
That’s why thousands each week are still counting on the city’s ‘biggest and best nightclub’ in Fleet Street.
“And why we’re not resting on our laurels,” adds Phillip. “We opened Level nine or 10 years ago and it’s stood the test of time, with no name change and no rebrand. That’s unusual.
“The venue is swinging now but we will never be in a state of satisfaction. We’ll keep moving floors around, adding new features and expanding to ensure it stays that way.”
Level reopened towards the end of last year after a four-month closure while it underwent a massive refurbishment.
