Joan Baez sings 'Green, Green Grass Of Home' from her 1969 Vanguard album 'David's Album'. This song was written by Claude "Curly" Putman Jr., was a country hit for Porter Wagoner and a worldwide hit for Tom Jones, and was covered by a long list of singers including Charlie Pride, Dean Martin, Nana Mouskouri, and Elvis Presley. The sad nostalgia of the lyrics and Baez' singing foretell the even sadder ending where the singer will only see his loved ones again "beneath the green, green grass of home." I tried for a dreamlike quality with slow movement, odd viewing angles, and some unrealistic images such as his "sweet Mary" coming "down the road," but photos may just look too real; animation's often used for this.
