This is basically 128 Gerstner waves computed in the vertex shader to keep performance somewhat decent (~90fps on a 970GTX) + animated tiling flipbooks for extra wave displacement & normals details + a render-target based diffusing foam layer + some Niagara water splash particle effects. It has quite a few limitations though and doesn't hold up at all when viewed from an aerial POV due to various reasons. And there's still a few quirks I need to solve to make it an infinite water plane. But more on that on my dedicated up-coming video!
