Learn, KVAR to Microfarad (µf), farad, impedance and current conversion formula & calculation for a capacitor for 1 & 3 phase AC supply in Hindi in this video.
The SI unit of capacitor for capacitance is Farad. As it is a big unit and unusual to use it for small capacitors, here comes small units i.e. mF “millifarad = 10-3” and μF “microfarad = 10-6“.
Similarly, the SI unit of reactive power “Q” is VAR “Volt-Amp-Reactive”. For higher values, we mostly use kVAR “103” or MVAR “106” etc.
The relation between capacitor KVAR and microfarad for 1 and 3 phase delta arrangement is explained with examples. Capacitor Impedance, reactance and current calculation are also explained. The method of getting the formula is also explained. Variation in KVAR of power factor capacitor due to voltage change, frequency change and capacitor tolerance explained.
