Since the start of the pandemic, travel demand has been significantly curtailed. But, it looks like our patience is finally paying off and there has been a resurgence of demand for travel across the globe. In this video, we take a look at how many countries are now seeing travel demand return to pre-pandemic marks and we explore how different countries are responding to this.

We start by exploring the figures. In our analysis, we find that more than 67% of countries have seen the share of travel demand return to its pre-pandemic levels; while more than 55% are seeing rates above their 2019 levels. This indicates that not only is demand for travel returning, but also that it is doing so at a faster rate.

Next, we take a closer look at how different countries are responding to the rising demand. We find that, while some countries have already implemented new strategies to accommodate the increasing demand, others are being more cautious and taking a wait-and-see approach.

Finally, we talk about the role that technology is playing in helping to ensure a safe travel experience. With the help of contactless systems and digital applications, countries are now better equipped to provide a safe and secure environment for travelers.

In conclusion, the overall message is that travel demand is on the rise and that technology is playing a key role in ensuring a safe travel experience.
