The contrary motion combined with the melody floating above is divine in this Chopin Prelude no. 21!
Next month on The Creative Classical Guitarist we'll be exploring left hand choreography - one of the principles that can help you make most passages easier and more secure.
Some aspects you can think about are:
- ANTICIPATION: can your mind and fingers start moving before they need to arrive to the next event?
- GUIDE FINGERS: are there any guide fingers from one shape to another? If not, can you still create one?
- MOULDING: can your fingers mould into the next chord shape while in the air? (I mean really precisely!)
- FINGER INDEPENDENCE: are fingers affecting each other when they move? Can you keep the inactive fingers at full rest when not in use?
