Margaret Papandreou-Chant was born in the US, in 1923 and grew up in Elmhurst Illinois. She is the second wife of the late Greek Prime Minister Andreas Papandreou (1981-1989 & 1993-1996) , daughter-in-law of the late Greek prime minister Georgios Papandreou (1944-1945, 1963 & 1964-1965) and the mother of Giorgos A. Papandreou , prime minister of Greece (2009-2011). Perhaps is the only woman in the world that she is related with three primeminsters of a country. This is one of her rare tv interviews.
