National Development Minister Desmond Lee said companies should develop a habit of regular giving to charities.They should contribute beyond ad hoc events or during a pandemic like COVID-19. This comes as charities report a drop in funds for recurrent programmes, even as COVID-19 initiatives continue to receive strong support. Mr Lee was speaking at an event on creative philanthropy organised by non-profit Temasek Trust. Speakers from firms like Google, delivery firm Ninja Van and Mediacorp also discussed topics like partnerships in corporate social programmes.
