A compilation of Pika sounds, squeaks, alarm calls and chirps! Hear their long calls, with one pika chirping 59 times in a row. Pikas are very vocal creatures, so I decided to make the largest compilation of pika sounds so far. One of the primary reasons they squeak is to alert other pika of nearby predators. They also define and defend their territory will calls. Pikas also have mating calls and other vocalizations.
I filmed these American pikas at Mount Rainier National Park on my Canon R7 camera, RF 600mm F11 lens, RODE VideoMic Pro+
