Discover with Guillaume Léger, our Product Manager, why Niclafor® is a great substitute to Beryllium-Copper in rolled and wire products.
Beryllium Copper (CuBe2 – C17200) has been a useful alloy used since the 1920s. However, its use has been determined to be toxic and not in compliance with REACH and RoHS regulations.
More and more companies of the electronics sectors, amongst others, are switching to beryllium-free materials. Lebronze alloys offers Niclafor® as a safer and high-performance alternative material.
Niclafor® (CuNi9Sn6 – C72700) is a Lead-free and Beryllium-free Copper-Nickel-Tin spinodal alloy. It exhibits very high mechanical performance, as well as outstanding friction properties and great resistance to corrosion.
