The US Dollar's value is being pushed down by inflation has steadily eroded its value over the last 200 years, though much of that decrease has happened in the last 80 years since the establishment of the Federal Reserve. This means in practical terms, our dollars today will be nearly worthless in the future.
On top of that, previous world reserve currencies generally only last around 100 years, so the US Dollar is approaching the age where we generally see a change up in the world economy.
