This isn't JUST a video about how to make eggnog, it's a train wreck of egg yolks and sugar. I apologize for the chaos... This is what happens when I've been out of the kitchen too long, and don't warm up first! Not only are we trying homemade eggnog, but we are comparing it to store bought eggnog. Making eggnog from scratch really couldn't be easier- if you know how to crack eggs (spoiler alert: I don't). In this eggnog recipe, I used bourbon, but eggnog is also good with rum, and even vodka in the holiday favorite: eggnog martini.
This eggnog recipe would also be great without any alcohol- simply leave it out, and you have a family friendly holiday punch. But if you are in need of some alcohol infused help to make it through the season, maybe double the measurements I have for bourbon below.
This is a homemade no cook eggnog recipe... trust me, you'll be fine ;)
Eggnog Recipe:
4 Eggs (separated)
2 Cups Whole Milk
1 Cup Heavy Cream
1/3 Cup Sugar + 1tbs
4oz (or more) of your spirit of choice (I used bourbon).
