COVID-19 ECHO Session #11: Procurement and Supply Chain for COVID-19 Diagnostics
On 20 May 2020, this COVID-19 ECHO session was convened to discuss procurement and the supply chain for COVID-19 diagnostics. Dr Lara Vojnov, Diagnostics Advisor at the World Health Organization, Geneva, and Dr Yenew Kebede, Head of Laboratory Services at Africa CDC presented about the need to coordinate and collaborate test availability and access; current activities and needs estimates; goals, principles and plans of the COVID-19 diagnostics consortium; current progress of testing in Africa, and projections in the next four months and year.
