China has seen a strong recovery in domestic and outbound tourism as enthusiasm for travel among Chinese holidaymakers has helped reinvigorate the markets.
Retailers in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region(HSSAR) have seen a growing number of consumers during the five-day Labor Day holiday which is boosting sales.
In the Chinese mainland, domestic travel bookings for the holiday have resumed to the pre-pandemic levels in 2019, posting a seven-fold increase year on year.
China’s transport sector registered a total of nearly 160 million passenger trips during the first three days, up 161.9 percent year on year.
