In today’s Tech Tip, Adam from ProPride Marine discusses measurement shift and throttle cables.

For demonstration purposes, he uses a 33-C style cable and a Mercury-style cable.

Unlike steering cables, shift and throttle cables are measured tip-to-tip.

Before ordering a replacement, Adam suggests removing it from the control box and measuring it – make sure the control box end and engine end are what you need, then it’s time to place an order.
