Australian Poetry Slam is one of the largest performing writers programs in the world. Each year, over 1000 poets enter heats in small towns and urban centres.

After State Finals, they meet up in Sydney where one writer is chosen on the Sydney Opera House stage to tour with their poems, stories, lyrics and monologues to writers' festivals like:
